Hello all! It's time for a new challenge at Sliekje's Cards Challenge Blog. The theme for the month of June is Cats. I have used papers from Sherry K. Designs, hand-stitching and crochet flowers from Pizzazz Aplenty. Please stop by the main challenge blog to check out the creations from the rest of the design team.

If you didn't notice from my sidebar, I love blog candy! So, in order to share the love and to celebrate my new Design Team spot with Shelly's Images and my upcoming birthday on May 17th, I'm offering 3 candies of my own. Thanks to those of you who are already followers! This new blogger really appreciates your company around here. :)
UPDATE: I've just been invited to another design team! I will begin withSliekjes Cards Challengein the month of June. Thanks so much for the invite Saskia. I'm looking forward to working with the team. Because of this, I will be extending the deadline for this Candy to May 31, 2011!
I've added a digi pack for Candy 3. When I very first started, I really followed Bugaboo and Meljen's closely. When I finally got my markers, each of these companies offered freebies and digis that were easy to color. Then, I discovered Shelly's Images. She has more realistic images that are easy to color because she adds some of the shading marks for you. Plus, Shelly is just such a lovely person. She is a true encourager.
I've recently come across Sassy Cheryl's who has some really cute stuff. Also a huge thanks goes out to Judy Bennett of Pizzazz Aplenty for donating products to include in this candy! While I have many favorites, I've narrowed it down to these few and I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do.

Welcome to another Marvelous Monday at Shelly's Images! This week we are showcasing Flower Girl which is on sale in the Shelly's Images Store. I've colored my image with ProMarkers and distressed the edges. My flowers are burnt edge flowers, but this time I layered a satin, a smooth polyester and tulle in pink and chocolate. My eyelets are from Eyelet Outlet. Be sure to stop by the Shelly's Images Blog to see what the other girls have made for today. Our guest designer is Laura Visser Anderson. Thanks for stopping by!
I've checked the lists at Feline Playful and would like to enter this into the following challenges:
I have one more card to share from my weekend crafting. This is Swimming Shae from Stretch n' Bubbles. I am on such an owl kick right now and she has that adorable owl on her little swim suit. These papers are from Jillibean Soup and I've colored her with ProMarkers.
My ribbon is from Wal-Mart and the little flower is just an accordion fold using two paper circles with a rhinestone brad for the center. My banner sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Design's Happy Things set.
For the inside, I added more owl and happy birthday paper and cut out three little matching owls for the writing space.

I know it's an odd day for a snowman... it's 90 degrees here today! But here he is. This little guy is from Whimsie Doodles. I've colored him with ProMarkers and made my flowers from black satin, white polyester lining, white tulle, and rhinestone brads.
for my new Design Team! I have some very exciting news! I have been asked to join the Sentimental Sundays Design Team! I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful group of women! The challenge this week is Anything But A Card. I have put together this magnetic bookmark for my daughter who is graduating high school. My sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs New Beginnings set. The flower is made from satin and has had the edges singed. The ribbon is from Wal-Mart and the edges are hand-stitched.
The Magnets are from Basic Grey. They are very strong, but very small magnets. I found them at 7 Kids College Fund store. I love this type of bookmark because I can clip it to another page while I'm reading and I don't have to worry about dropping it.
Well, it took a bit of fiddling, but I finally figured out how to get into my blogger account. What a mess. For me, I'm able to get into my account using Firefox but not Chrome. So anyway, I didn't get a chance to post the new challenge over at Shelly's Images. Our new challenge is Let I All Hang Out! We want to see something hanging off the edge of your project this week.
Just a short post. My image today is A Tasty Read from Elisabeth Bell. She is colored with ProMarkers. The flowers are hand made and the card is hand-stitched. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs Gratitude Set and it is printed on vellum. The brads in my flowers are from Eyelet Outlet and Pizzazz Aplenty and the ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Happy Wednesday! I got some more colors of ProMarkers for my birthday and one of the color families I was happiest to get was the peach color family. This is an Elizabeth Bell digi called Pati's Kisses. My papers are digital papers from Sherry K Designs. I made the flower on the front with burlap, polyester fabric and gold tulle. I singed the edges of the polyester fabric and tulle. I've hand-stitched around the edges both inside and out. My sentiment is a freebie from Paper Dreams of Mine.
My flower on the inside is a burnt edge flower with a button center. My ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I did actually put ribbon on the front, but completely covered it up, lol!

For this card, I wanted to enter the color challenge over at Do You Stack Up which is Sea Glass Blue, Celery and White. However, I just couldn't pull it together without the brown. I love this little image from Stretch n' Bubbles and the sentiment that comes with it is just darling. I have colored this with ProMarkers and stitched around the edges. My flowers are more burnt edge flowers and my paper is from K & Company.
