Ava in Blue

Another Bugaboo girl today. I just love the Ava and Deacon line. Here she is with lots of flowers.

My paper is from K & Company and I colored her in with ProMarkers. I have stitched both inside and out. My sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs Gratitude Set and is printed on vellum.

My flowers on the inside are simply circles that I crumpled up and distressed with some brown chalk. The centers are mini buttons from Pizzazz Aplenty. The flower on the front is just a burnt edge flower, the only difference is the fabric. This fabric is 100% polyester, just like the other fabric I use, but had a much softer feel to it. When I melted it over my candle, it curled up completely differently than my others. I love the way it turned out and can't wait to try out other fabrics. This was from a shirt from a rummage sale. If you try this out, I encourage you to try out lots of different man-made fabrics.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

It must be the color of the ribbon, because it gave me the distinct feel of my grandmother's hosiery (thicker back then). I totally thought you had come up with a new technique. Beautiful job! Thanks for joining us at FFF, we look forward to seeing your future creations.
