Shelly's Images Terrifically Thrilling Thursday

Our challenge for your this week at Shelly's Images is Snakes, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails. We want to see your creations for the Boys/Men in your life.

This image is called Being Together from Shelly's Images and has been colored with ProMarkers. The papers are from Basic Grey called Pyrus. I've added a strip of burlap and distressed the edges for texture.

Fairy Book Box

Hello all! I have a gift project to share with you today. It is a box that looks like a book! The image is from A Day For Daisies and it was a freebie on CDAC recently. I paper pieced the dress and covered her wings in stickles. This was my first time paper piecing and it wasn't so bad except I lost the little piece that I cut out for her hair bow, lol. Never did find that thing. I made the flower with fabric using the singed edge technique.

Graduation

Happy Tuesday all! I'm gonna share a little piece of my heart today. I just got my oldest daughter graduated last week. My lip was quivering the whole time! I cannot believe she is off to college soon. I keep trying to convince her that she is still only 12, but she's not believing me, lol!

This is the card I created for her. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil colored with ProMarkers. The papers are from Lily Bee Design This & That paper pad. I have distressed the edges and added hand-stitching. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and is just so beautiful in person. The flowers are made with satin using the burnt edge technique. I will be creating some flower tutorials soon, so stay tuned. The center is a pearl brad from the Eyelet Outlet.

The sentiment on the inside is a Dr. Seuss quote from his book Oh, The Places You'll Go which I got from Raindrop Echo Designs Graduation Sentiments set.

I used DCWV's La Creme paper and my sentiments are from Raindrop Echo Designs Marriage Sentiments. The button is an i-Top Brad made with fabric colored (with my ProMarkers) to match the ribbon.

Video Game Birthday

Hi there! I made this card for my son's 16th birthday. I only realize later that I did not put an actual Happy Birthday sentiment on it, lol! Oh well,  I wrote it in by hand before I gave it to him. This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. The ticket sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs. The papers are from K & Company. I distressed the edges with my edge scraper and embossed the red paper with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Checkerboard embossing folder. I tied some jute string around the yellow paper and tied a star charm onto it. The brads are copper.

 

The sentiment on the inside is a freebie from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique and is my favorite verse.
