This week we want you to focus on the sentiment. I've used Curvy Frame Small Dots. My flowers are made with satin (tutorial) and I have placed a piece of burlap behind the sentiment.

Sentimental Sundays Anything Goes (with a Sentiment)

It's time for a new challenge at Sentimental Sundays. This week Anything Goes as long as you use a sentiment. Be sure to stop over at the blog for this week's freebie sentiments.

 

Today my images are freebies from Papiersalat Digital Art. I thought they went perfectly with this  K & Company Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse paper. The pom pom trim is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I really stacked these up with dimensionals, which is hard to see in the pictures. They each go three layers above the base. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs Flowers In Bloom sentiments and I have added flatback rhinestones around the edge. The card is made to fit in a business sized envelope.

Sentimental Sundays "Celebrate Summer" Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sentimental Sundays “Celebrate Summer” blog hop. Tuesday, June 21^st, is the official first day of summer in the northern hemisphere and we are ready for all the summer fun to begin. For our friends down under who are moving into their winter months and may not feel like creating a summery project, they may be making “Sparkly or Shimmery” projects. What girl doesn’t like her bling?

For my project, I did a little sparkle and a little summer on this book box (tutorial). I just love the fairies over at The Emerald Faerie Garden. This is Ally and Beeble. My sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs Flowers In Bloom Sentiment set.

The fairy's wings are covered with Stickles and I have added flatback rhinestones around the sentiment and to the inside cover of the box.

I have hand-stitched both inside and out. Down the spine on both the inside and out, I have stitched starbursts. The flower is a singed edge flower (I'll be adding a tutorial on these on Tuesday so be sure to check back). [EDIT: Tutorial Here] The center is a brad that was made with my i-Top Tool using yellow fabric and gold tulle.

Graduation

Happy Tuesday all! I'm gonna share a little piece of my heart today. I just got my oldest daughter graduated last week. My lip was quivering the whole time! I cannot believe she is off to college soon. I keep trying to convince her that she is still only 12, but she's not believing me, lol!

This is the card I created for her. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil colored with ProMarkers. The papers are from Lily Bee Design This & That paper pad. I have distressed the edges and added hand-stitching. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and is just so beautiful in person. The flowers are made with satin using the burnt edge technique. I will be creating some flower tutorials soon, so stay tuned. The center is a pearl brad from the Eyelet Outlet.

The sentiment on the inside is a Dr. Seuss quote from his book Oh, The Places You'll Go which I got from Raindrop Echo Designs Graduation Sentiments set.

I used DCWV's La Creme paper and my sentiments are from Raindrop Echo Designs Marriage Sentiments. The button is an i-Top Brad made with fabric colored (with my ProMarkers) to match the ribbon.
